The Ghostly A.I. Caper : A Tony Lazcano Mystery Thriller
The novel centers around the Privatoga Detective Agency’s first case. The client, Kathleen Ryan, is engaged to marry her long-time lover, Carl Sanders, Special Agent in Charge of the Upstate N.Y. F.B.I. office. Carl is a friend of the Lazcano family and referred Kathleen to them to hire them to end a string of frightening harassments to which Kathleen recently became victim.
After a series of incidents which include murder and attempted rape, the private detectives trace the harassments to two unrelated causes: (1) a perverted priest who installed a video camera/transmitter to record the lovemaking activities of Kathleen and her husband and (2) the recent death of Kathleen’s mother, Vera, who had been the Chief Researcher for D.A.R.P.A., experimenting with the creation of super-intelligent artificial organisms. Vera research led to her discovering a way to merge the mind of a newly deceased person with the microscopic super-intelligent organisms she created. Vera had kept her research secret from her superiors at D.A.R.P.A. Following her death, D.A.R.P.A. agents harassed and threatened Vera’s daughter, believing that she alone knew the location of Vera research papers.
Upon her death, Vera transformed herself into a super-intelligent A.I.,. Merging her genius I.Q. mind with millions of artificial, self-reproducing A.I. organisms she created. Lies Can Kill is a fast-paced, action-packed page-turner of a novel. Tony Lazcano is a disgraced, former alcoholic ex-N.Y.C. police detective, who is now a self-employed Private Investigator. Tony has just learned that he has a previously unknown adult daughter, Jillian, who is in grave danger. Jillian had fallen in love with and inadvertently became criminally involved with Jesse, the leader of a large criminal organization with ties to prostitution, gambling, racketeering, extortion, and murder. After Jillian is forced to become a crooked police sergeant’s Confidential Informant, Jesse soon learns of this and subjects Jillian and her Aunt Crystal to kidnapping, torture and threats of death in order to keep Tina silent.
Tony Lazcano teams up with Tina, who is a NYC Police Lieutenant and is also his long-time soulmate, and with his friend Carl, the Special Agent in Charge of the Upstate N.Y. F.B.I. office. Their goal is to rescue Jillian and arrest Jesse’s criminal gang. Along the way, they repeatedly risk their lives and encounter numerous violent obstacles and a variety of unexpected dangers. Several of the gang members and three crooked cops are killed, and in the end, all the gang are captured and face serious criminal charges. The novel has some mild, non-erotic sex scenes throughout and is laced with romantic elements. Tina has been Tony’s secret mistress for 30 years. During all that time, one or both were married, and chose not to divorce their spouses for the sake of Tina’s kids and so as not to hurt their spouses. Now, both spouses are dead, and they are free to finally marry, which they do at the close of the book.
Star Hoppers: A Science Fiction Novel
Mike and Cindy are soul twins. They are also omnipotent Gods who, together with their eight other soul mates, have lived forever.
